A woman has urged people to stop being insecure about wearing tight clothes, because you don’t need a flat stomach to wear whatever you want to – and many praised her ‘reminder’

It can be all too easy to shy away from tight clothes, believing that you don’t have the ‘right’ body type for them.

But one body-positive TikToker has urged people to wear tight clothes regardless of whether they have a flat stomach or not, because they look cute.

Lucy James-Reeves, who posts on TikTok as @lucy_xfit, captioned her short clip: “Our tummies are beautiful just the way they are.”

Lucy wanted to give a “body confidence reminder” to her followers, saying: “You don’t have to have a flat stomach to wear tight clothes.”

She then turned to the side, showing off that her stomach wasn’t completely flat – and she looked stunning. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and she was encouraging people to be confident no matter what their size.

In the comments, someone said: “Honestly I just love this account you really make a difference.” Another wrote: “Dang my arms are my biggest insecurity too. But seeing your arms look perfectly normal makes me feel like I’m worried for nothing too.”

On her TikTok account, Lucy also promotes exercising because you want to and it makes you feel good, rather than being obsessed with how much you weigh and how much weight you can lose.

She posted a clip of her running, and wrote in a caption: “One day you’re crying on your bathroom floor because the scale is showing a number you hate, and the next the only numbers you care about are kilometres and pace. Healing really is beautiful.”

“We were put on this earth to do more than constantly diet and doubt ourselves,” she encouraged people in another clip.

One person commented in response: “Needed this.” Another said: “Vibes are immaculate.” And a third TikTok user commented: “U look so good girly !!!”
