Woman ‘sexually assaulted while getting off bus’ in Ealing as Met Police launch manhunt

Met detectives have launched a manhunt after a woman was sexually assaulted while getting off a bus in Ealing. CCTV footage shows a man on a E1 bus who police want to speak to in connection with the attacker on Park Road, near Drayton Green station.

At 11.30pm on Wednesday, May 21. the woman was attacked as they both stepped off the bus. He then followed her down the road and sexually assaulted her again.

The man was then seen on CCTV running north on Park Road following, towards Browning Avenue and the E1 bus stop..

He is described as Black, in his late 20s or early 30s, and approximately 5ft 11in tall, with a slim build. He has dark, curly hair and was captured on CCTV wearing a black jacket and navy blue, Nike t-shirt. The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Constable Teresa Moore, leading the Met’s investigation, said: “Women and girls should be safe to travel on public transport – and walk the streets of London – without being attacked.

“This incident highlights the opportunistic behaviour of the offender so it is really important we locate him as soon as possible.”
