A woman shared her amazing weight loss journey after shedding 4st when she “hated exercise and wasn’t eating healthily”. Now she completely transformed her body
A woman shared her weight loss journey revealing how she dropped shed 4st by embracing a single form of exercise.
TikTok sensation @sophia.ashmore, who boasts a following of over 276,300, regularly updates her followers about her incredible transformation. She began her journey in 2021 after gaining weight during the Covid lockdown.
The user confessed she despised exercise and had unhealthy eating habits, which prompted her to make a lifestyle change. She admitted feeling “incompetent and hopeless” as her self-confidence plummeted.
In one of her videos, she wrote: “This is your daily reminder that you can achieve the perceived impossible through commitment and patience. Weight loss is a nuanced and complex process which requires time and patience.
“You will learn from your mistakes and develop your own unique way to pursue your dream body. It took me two years!” The post shows her journey from 2021 to 2023, during which she lost an impressive 4st.
The first image shows her at the start of her journey in August 2021 when she “gained 4st”, but “hated exercise and wasn’t eating healthily”. In the series of photos, she added: “October 2021: Behind the smiles, I felt incompetent and hopeless… My self-esteem and confidence was non-existent.
“November 2021: I was disgusted in myself. I was killing myself and knew something had to change. August 2022: Over 9 months, I had lost weight drastically taking things to the extreme and forming unhealthy habits.”
In September 2022, the user realised being “skinny” didn’t make her happier or get rid of her problems. Two months later, she turned to running and walking for therapy. She enjoyed it so much she completed her first half marathon soon after.
By 2023, she started to focus on the gym and incorporated more weights into her workouts. She concluded in the last slideshow: “April 2023: I still have bad days but I feel so much more happier in myself. I’m not starving my body, I’m working on it.
“This is your sign that self-growth takes time. Success is not about reaching the goal itself. It’s about who we become in the process.”
Since the post was shared, it garnered 6,300 likes and hundreds of shares. One commented: “So proud of you beaut!” While another added: “So proud, you look gorgeous girl!” And a third commented: “This is so beautiful. What an incredible journey, I myself have always been skinny and have put on so much weight due to lockdown, I want to be like you.”
