A woman has been stabbed to death in Tulse Hill. Cops raced to the St Martin’s Estate in Upper Tulse Hill at about 5pm yesterday (Monday, October 27) to reports of a man with a knife in a home.

A man, 59, was tasered and arrested on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm and threats to kill. He is in custody. Inside the home they found the 42-year-old dead with multiple stab wounds. Her family were informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The investigation continues.

Chief Superintendent Emma Bond, who leads policing for Lambeth, said: “This is a deeply shocking crime and our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the woman who sadly died.

“Our officers have arrested a man, who remains in custody, and are working at pace to piece together what happened. We realise this is particularly disturbing for those living in the local area.

“Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the coming days and are encouraged to reach out to officers if they have any concerns.”
