Jeremy Schofield, better known as Remy, has inked over his tattoos several times, to ensure the colour remains vibrant and has spent 2,200 hours under the needle over the years
The “world’s most tattooed” man who is 97% covered in ink has spent almost £240,000 on his obsession – and appears to be in no hurry to slow down.
Jeremy Schofield, better known as Remy, has jet-black skin from years of getting work done, not counting part of his face and palms. The dad has inked over the art several times as well, to ensure the colour remains vibrant – with around 2,200 hours under the needle over the years. And he isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon, sharing his journey with over 60,000 fans on Instagram (@ephemeral__ Remy). The former chef-turned-tattoo-shop-manager, 36, said: “My body has been fully tattooed over [many times].
“I currently have two sessions a week and have been doing so few for the last seven years. Prior to that, I had as many as five sessions a week sometimes. I am currently working on a full colour over blackout body suit and will be starting my back soon. I also believe I am currently the world’s most tattooed person to ever live – and by a very large margin.”
It appears no area is out of bounds for the dad – who has a teenage son named Ivan and is married to his wife Sarah -as Remy has previously hit headlines after talking about his most painful ink – the inside of his bum – and has also shared how he got ‘vampire’ teeth installed. Among his collection of tattoos features blackwork, skulls, and an eye below his nipples. While he has no regrets, the dad is often subject to evil comments from trolls online who report his account due to his unusual appearance.
Previously, Remy who has spent £80,000on tattoos in the last year, said: “Most of the work I am doing currently has widely been called impossible by ‘experts’ and I’m proving them wrong every day. Online people say all kinds of wild stupid things daily but in person, I never get anything, but friendly curiosity and compliments.
“In fact, my son’s friends are always excited to meet me, as most of them follow my TikTok, and some have even asked for an autograph and pictures with me. The only ‘hate’ I get is really just a creation of social media. I believe social media is making it easy for many people to be much more hateful than they’d ever dare to be in reality.”
The Mirror previously told how a body modification fanatic dubbed a “real life demon” described his passion for hanging in mid-air by hooks pierced through his skin. Victor Hugo Peralta, who has the Devil’s “666” carved into his scalp, alongside £400 metal horns implanted into his skull, claims 95 per cent of his body is inked. The 53-year-old, from Argentina, first got a tattoo aged 13, which was the word “F***” across the fingers on his left hand.
Now married to Gabriela, 52, the pair have held the Guinness World Record title for “most body modifications” as a married couple for 10 years. And now they enjoy a new passion. Victor and Gabriela have travelled to more than 20 different countries to perform in front of large crowds, with each of them being suspended from a hook that’s pierced into their skin.
