The nation is being plagued by psycho seagulls competing to be Britain’s hardest sky menace – with one even being dubbed ‘Steven Seagull’ after the Hollywood hardman
Brits are being terrorised by savage seagulls as with rival ‘XL Gully’ gangs compete for the title of Britain’s toughest avian thugs.
This week, it was reported Liverpudlians are living in fear of the “XL Gullies Gang”, a notorious flock led by “Bugsy Seagull”, named after the infamous American gangster Siegel. However, Bugsy isn’t the only winged ruffian ruling the roost; our readers from across the nation have been reporting their own feathery fiends aiming to dethrone the ‘top level boss’, turning daily life into a veritable flightmare.
Aggressive gulls, eager to claim the top spot in the pecking order, are causing chaos nationwide, with alarming tales flying in from Essex, Norfolk, Scarborough, Sheffield, and even as far north as Scotland. The picturesque town of Beccles, nestled within the Suffolk and Norfolk Broads, is under siege by a seagull so menacing he’s earned the moniker “Steven Seagull”, in homage to the hard-nosed Hollywood actor and martial arts aficionado.

Local resident Martin shared his experience, telling the Daily Star: “This seagull walks around up and down the street as if he owns the joint. Swiping any food he can get his beak on.”
Even Sheffield’s rock scene has been influenced by these feathered felons, with the band Santiago Kings dedicating a song to a notorious bird known locally as “Steven Seagull”. Their lyrics describe him as: “Steven seagull, he’s a secret eagle.”
Ben Flude boasted: “The bird residing on your front page couldn’t lace the webbed boots of Steven. You may not be familiar with the bird in question, but Steven has such confidence, such testosterone, such swagger, that he truly believes he is a secret Eagle.”
Megan Miller, 33, from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, shared her experiences with a dominant seagull she’s named Judas, who has taken over her garden and was dubbed “guard gull”. She revealed: “He’s hardcore, every time another seagull comes anywhere near he will go for them and practically take a chunk out of a wing.”
She also expressed her affection for Judas, who became her ally in keeping other pesky seagulls away from her patio. Megan disclosed his culinary preferences: “His favourite foods are pizza, fruit and Cathedral City cheese,” but she suspects weekend trips to the pier for fish and chips as he’s “around a bit less” then.
Over in Liverpool, another assertive seagull has been making its presence felt at the waterfront by the Liver Building, aiming to become the ‘top level boss’. Richard Eames, a reader, captured the bird in action, stealing a chip while giving the camera a defiant stare, and commented, “no arguing with this one”.
Meanwhile, in Dundee, Scotland, Lisa Millar reports being besieged by greedy gulls that tap on her window demanding food when they’re hungry.
