A touching moment unfolded when a young Taylor Swift fan was gifted tickets to her Eras Tour concert in Edinburgh on Friday. Footage of her reaction has been melting hearts online, with the little girl moved to tears by the gift.
Seven-year-old super fan Lexi-Mae Smith thought her parents were unable to secure tickets for Friday’s gig – so she was overwhelmed with shock when she found out they were not only driving to the venue, but also had surprise tickets for her.
Mum Karen Smith and dad Gary Elliott urged Lexi-Mae to get dressed up and her siblings, Summer and Chloe, enthusiastically did her hair and makeup. When they finally reached the venue, they gave their little girl the surprise of her life.

Gary managed to capture on film the moment Lexi-Mae was handed the concert tickets. Overwhelmed, she burst into tears and gave her mum a heart-warming hug, reports Edinburgh Live. A follow-up video showed the youngster singing her favourite tune, ‘Love Story’, along with Swift at the concert.
Speaking to Glasgow Live, Lexi-Mae couldn’t hide her excitement: “I was very excited, I didn’t expect it at all. Taylor Swift is my favourite singer and my favourite song from the concert was Love Story. I’ve been a fan for five years, since I was a baby.”
Garry shared: “Friday morning I went on a school trip with her to the Glasgow Science Centre. We’d been trying to get tickets for weeks and weeks but they were so expensive. My fiancee phoned me that morning saying there were tickets and I said to just take them. We paid £300 for each tickets – £600 in total.”
He expressed his surprise at the popularity of the video, which has had nearly 300,000 views since he uploaded it. “I take videos all the time, for instagram and TikTok and I never thought it’d go the way it went,” he admitted.
He continued: “My phone has been nonstop. It’s not even just me, her sister and everything, they got her all ready. It was just madness. To see everybody commenting, it makes me feel so proud of what we did for her.”
