A section of a major West London road has been shut follow an ’emergency services incident’. According to travel website Inrix part of the A40 is closed westbound around Acton, after A4000 Leamington Park (Gypsy Corner) which has led to long delays.
London bus routes 95 and 487 are on diversion. Transport for London (TfL) cameras show long traffic queues at a standstill, so only head through the area if absolutely necessary.
In the latest update Inrix is warning of long delays since the crash at about 4.20pm and it adds the closure is “expected to be in place for several hours”.
The nature of the collision is currently unknown. MyLondon has contacted the Met Police and London Ambulance Service for comment.
