Chelsea are gearing up for this weekend’s Premier League trip to Burnley with the Blues looking to climb up to second place in the table with three points at Turf Moor

Chelsea have been handed a welcome injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash away at Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Pedro Neto, who pulled out of the Portugal squad for this international break, was spotted on the grass in Cobham with his Blues teammates. The 25-year-old winger, who signed for Chelsea in August 2024 for £54million, suffered a groin injury against his former club Wolves earlier this month and subsequently pulled out of international duty to focus on his recovery.

Neto has been an ever-present figure in Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side this season – starting all 11 Premier League matches – and is seemingly in contention to continue that trend when the Blues make the long trip up to Burnley this weekend. Although a lot of Chelsea supporters would not mind Neto starting this one from the bench given the form of Estevao Willian.

Elsewhere in Chelsea training, Alejandro Garnacho was rocking a new look. Since signing for the Blues in the summer, the former Manchester United winger has had his hair bleach blonde, but he has now dyed it black – similar to one of the trims he had during his time at Old Trafford.

Garnacho will be hoping to make his sixth consecutive start in the Premier League when Chelsea go to Turf Moor this weekend. The Argentine winger has been in sparkling form for the Blues in recent matches – scoring two goals and providing two assists in his last four games in all competitions.

Maresca is clearly a huge admirer of the 21-year-old winger and that has shown with the head coach’s trust in the player. Speaking after the win against Wolves prior to the international break, where Garnacho recorded two assists at Stamford Bridge, Maresca said: “He arrived here from another club where he was not training 100%.

“He knows to play with us he has to be good on and off the ball. We are very happy with him.”

There was no sign of Cole Palmer in training on Monday, with the 23-year-old closing in on a return from a persistent groin injury that has frustrated him so far this season. Maresca said before the international break that he is hopeful Palmer will be able to return later this month, with two crucial matches against Barcelona and Arsenal targeted for the England international.
