Other brands such as Argos also offer Christmas Wreaths at reasonable prices, like the Argos Home Flowers and Foliage Wreath available for just £7. This one is perfect for indoor use, is made from polyester and comes pre-decorated.

Lakeland offers a unique choice with its Lakeland Winter Berry Wreath for £29.99. This reusable red berry wreath is said to be perfect for adorning doors, walls or banisters and measures approximately 50cm in diameter.

How to craft a wreath at home

The brand provides guidance on creating a wreath, stating that individuals will require a wreath base – either a vine or wicker ring for a rustic touch, or a wire base for a sleeker look – flowers and foliage, sharp scissors, and a wire or German pins. The first step in crafting the wreath is to ‘trim the stems so they are between 8-15cm long’.

Next, the second step involves ‘placing the foliage on the chosen base and using the wire or pins to secure it. If the wire or pins prove too tricky, a glue gun can be used,’ however, this isn’t recommended as it prevents the base from being reused for future wreaths.

The third step is to arrange the flowers within the foliage, ensuring any stems are concealed by other flowers and foliage.

“Have a play with placement to see what looks best before fully weaving them into the foliage and wreath,” advises the brand. Lastly: “Fill in the gaps. If there are any spaces left, tyou can fill these out with little extras such as foliage, flowers, dried fruit slices, pinecones or leaves. Ideally, you don’t want to see the base, so make sure you have plenty of flowers and foliage for good coverage.”

While there are no individual reviews for the wreaths on Bunches, customers have taken to Trustpilot to share their experiences. One satisfied customer gushed: “Christmas wreath was lovely and arrived on time. Great customer service. Was able to take advantage of an introductory discount. Would highly recommend.”

Another praised the company’s ethical stance, saying: “Lovely festive wreath, fully recyclable. Brilliant. Great to know I am dealing with a company with high ethical standards.”

However, not all reviews were glowing, with some customers docking a star for reasons such as: “The delivery of the plant arrived when the recipient was out. Royal Mail should have left a card but didn’t.”

Despite this, the majority of customers had positive things to say about the brand: “Fabulous roses, bought as a reminder of a very loved Uncle who died during this virus, I was unable to attend funeral, so these flowers were, and are still, lovely.”
