Eberechi Eze spoke to reporters following Arsenal’s draw with Chelsea to provide an insight into the mood of the Gunners’ dressing room ahead of a big festive period.

Eberechi Eze has vowed Arsenal will ‘keep believing’ in their Premier League title dream after the draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners were held to a share of the spoils despite having a man advantage after Moises Caicedo was sent off in the first half. Mikel Merino, who was on the receiving end of the Ecuador international’s horrendous challenge, found the equaliser after Trevor Chalobah had opened the scoring.

“They made it difficult at times,” Eze admitted in the aftermath of the draw. “But an important point on the road for us.

“We are going to keep going. Keep pushing and go on to Wednesday.”

The England international added: “I’d say it’s an important point. There was an opportunity to win, and we want to win every single game that we play.

“It’s difficult, but as I said, it’s a point that we’ll look back on and be happy that we’ve got at least this. So we’re sticking positive and continuing to believe.”

Chelsea gave the Gunners problems both with and without eleven men on the field. For Eze, however, he didn’t see a significant difference in the challenge between what Enzo Maresca’s side posed physically compared to other sides they have faced.

“They were aggressive, we’ve had challenges throughout the season of loads of battles and duels and stuff like that, so this wasn’t too different,” he said. “I think, yeah, at times it was difficult for us, but we sat in, and we continued to do what we were doing, and we take the point.”

Arsenal maintained their six-point gap to the Blues, and after a challenging week, have extended their advantage over Manchester City from four to five points since before the North London Derby. Eze is confident that he and his teammates have enough to continue pushing toward the ultimate goal of the Premier League title.

“Yeah, that’s the dream, that’s what we’re working towards, that’s what we’re applying ourselves to, and I’m positive that we can keep going, keep believing that it’s possible,” he said.

“It’s another point in terms of getting to and achieving what we want to achieve. We take it, we’re going to stay positive, keep working, keep applying ourselves, Wednesday is another opportunity.”

Mikel Arteta welcomed back Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus to the squad, despite losing William Saliba before the match due to a knock in training. Eze, however, feels that the players returning are already impressing, which bodes well for the Gunners and their heavy schedule over the festive season.

“Yeah, we’ve got a lot of players coming back, and we’ve had a few injuries,” Eze said. “It’s important for us all to be ready, to be there, and we’re working towards that.

“Everyone can see ones that are injured, they’re coming back, and they’re coming back strong. So, yeah, it’s important to have them.
