All Croydon polling stations for Mayor of London, London Assembly and by-election votes

Londoners are set to go to the polls tomorrow (Thursday, May 2) in an election that could see a brand new mayor for the city of nearly 10 million. Happening on the same day are elections for the Greater London Assembly election, which elects which individuals will oversee and scrutinise the Mayor’s policies.

Alongside these important elections, some Londoners will be eligible to vote in some local by-elections which will determine who will represent their ward on the local council. These by-elections are triggered when a councillor retires or resigns from the council.

Residents of Croydon ’s Woodside and Parkhill & Whitgift wards will be eligible to vote for local new councillors. These by-elections come following the resignation of Labour’s Mike Bonello from his Woodside seat in January and Tory Jade Appleton’s resignation as Park Hill and Whitgift ward councillor in March.

The new Park Hill and Whitgift councillor will serve as the ward’s sole representative on the Conservative-run council. The winner of the Woodside election will join Labour’s incumbents Amy Foster and Brigitte Graham.
