Mauricio Pochettino will soon conduct his post-match press conference after he witnessed his Chelsea side cruise to a 5-0 victory over West Ham United.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring on 15 minutes to get the Blues off to the perfect start at Stamford Bridge. Conor Gallagher volleyed into the bottom corner to double the hosts’ advantage and demonstrate their dominance.
Noni Madueke, who was brilliant throughout, then headed in at the back-post to make it 3-0 before the half-time break. Nicolas Jackson got himself on the score sheet after the break, when Madueke passed it across goal.
Jackson got his second of the game with not too long remaining. Moises Caicedo played the striker, who stayed just onside, through on goal and he side-footed it past Alphonse Areola.
