Forecasters are predicting the weather to take a drastic turn for the worse following the mini heatwave where temperatures hit 26C. But now – according to forecasters at the BBC – this Thursday, May 16, and Saturday, May 18, will see “thundery showers and light winds”.
The rest of the week isn’t looking too promising either, with nonstop rain and grey skies. The silver lining is that the sun should poke out between the clouds, so hopefully it won’t be too gloomy.
Temperatures will be hovering around 18C too, ensuring things won’t be absolutely freezing. The upcoming forecast can be found below.

According to the BBC, “rain will ease and slowly clear eastwards, clearing most areas later this afternoon, but remaining rather cloudy” for today, May 14.
Whereas tonight will be “staying cloudy through the start of tonight, with a few light showers developing for a time. Turning drier later on, with a few clearer spells developing from the west towards dawn.”
Tomorrow, May 15, the “morning will see low cloud clear eastwards, with just the small chance of a shower. Most parts in the afternoon will be dry with plenty of sunshine. A warmer day.”
And from Thursday, May 16, through to Saturday, May 18, things will be equally as miserable. The BBC says “Thursday looks to see a mixture of variable cloud, sunny spells, and a few showers moving in from the east through the afternoon. It should be largely dry on Friday, with plenty of sunshine, and just the small chance of a shower. On Saturday, an area of cloud and spells of rain will move in from the east, these turning locally thundery.”
