Police Statement
The Metropolitan Police said they were called at 6.05am to an injured man on Tottenham High Road. Police and paramedics attended before he was taken to hospital. They say officers belive he was assaulted and enquiries continue.
The full police statement reads:
Police were called at 0605hrs on Sunday, 19 May, to an injured man in Tottenham High Road at the junction with Whitehall Street, N17.
Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues and found a man suffering head injuries. He has been taken to hospital. We await an assessment of his condition.
Officers believe the man had been assaulted. There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.
