Fans of one London’s biggest football clubs are facing a nerve-racking couple of hours as Arsenal could win the Premier League this afternoon (Sunday, May 19). Fans are flocking to the Emirates Stadium ahead of kick off at 4pm.

The Gunners need Manchester City, who are currently top of the league by two points, to lose or draw against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium. Arsenal have a higher goal difference, and so, if Pep Guardiola’s side drops points, a win would see the London side finish the season on top.

It would be the first time that Arsenal have won the league since the club’s ‘invincible’ season in 2003/04. Arsene Wenger’s side garnered 90 points over the course of 38 games without losing a single match.

Now, current coach Mikel Arteta is hoping to win the trophy for the first time in 20 years.
