A busy North London road has been closed in both directions due to an overnight police incident. Local reports state both Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service responded to an incident outside Tesco on North Finchley High Road.
It was first reported by traffic monitoring site INRIX at about 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 22). Four London bus routes – 125, 234, 263 and 383 – have been diverted as Ballards Lane has also been part-shut.
The latest INRIX update reads: “A1000 High Road in both directions closed due to police incident between Torrington Park and A1003 Woodhouse Road.
“After 9.30pm last night. Ballards Lane is also closed from Kingsway to Tally Ho Corner.”
