Man stabbed in Limehouse with air ambulance landing near canal

A man was stabbed in East London yesterday (Sunday, June 9). The victim was found on Dod Street, Limehouse, near the canal, at around 3.20pm.

The victim was taken to hospital.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.21pm on Sunday June 9, to reports of a stabbing on Dod Street, Limehouse. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response car.

“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s air ambulance, which consisted of a doctor and a paramedic in a car. Our first paramedics arrived on scene in five minutes.”

They added: “We treated a patient for a leg injury before taking them to a major trauma centre.”

A Met Police spokesperson added the force had no further information to share..
