England will kickstart their European Championship 2024 campaign on Sunday afternoon against Aleksandr Mitrovic and co when they face Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.
Gareth Southgate’s men head into the tournament as favourites to lift the trophy on July 14. They face Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia in Group C before facing a potentially tricky knockout bracket.
Friday sees the tournament kick-off with hosts Germany taking on Scotland before the nation will take to their screens to watch the Three Lions take on Serbia.
While England have been presented with a kind draw in the group stage compared to others, Serbia will fancy their chances at frustrating Southgate’s golden generation.
Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic will lead the line with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Sasa Lukic behind them. They come into the tournament on the back of a convincing win over Sweden in their final pre-tournament friendly.
England will look to start their journey of bringing it home in style. Despite being without Marcus Rashford, James Maddison, Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish, the current crop remains full of talent.
