A busy road near Waterloo Station has been blocked following an ’emergency services incident’ in South London this morning (Monday, June 24). York Road has been closed in both directions between Station Approach Road and Waterloo Road.
This is close to the Imax roundabout. Congestion has built up back to Westminster Bridge, on Baylis Road and back to Blackfriars Bridge.
A diversion is in place for five bus routes – the 76, 77, 243, 381 and the C10. The nature of the incident is not yet known.
