There were long delays on the M23 near Gatwick Airport after a serious crash has closed three lanes on the busy motorway this morning, Wednesday July 3. According to National Highways, three lanes of four were closed on the M23 southbound between Junction 8 (M25 Interchange) and Junction 9 (Gatwick Airport).
It was due to a multi-vehicle collision on the motorway. Sussex Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene, National Highways said.
There were delays of up to 45 minutes and 4 miles of congestion reported on approach to the incident.
