Commuters are facing difficulties on London’s transport network this morning. A Tube line is partly suspended due to flooding. A section of the Overground was also shut but has since reopened.
Transport for London (TfL) earlier said that Piccadilly line services north of Green Park stopped temporarily. This was due to a late finish of engineering works. There were also severe delays between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town.

The authority said in an update: “No service between Cockfosters and Hyde Park Corner westbound only due to a late finish of engineering work at Wood Green. Good service on the rest of the line. Tickets will be accepted on local buses.”
Now, TfL says that there is no service between Cockfosters and King’s Cross St. Pancras on the Piccadilly line. This is due to flooding at Wood Green.
There are severe delays on the rest of the Line. Tickets will be accepted on local buses, the authority says.
Meanwhile, between Tuesday and Friday (July 16 to 19), from 6.15am, there is no service southbound from Willesden Junction to Shepherds Bush until 6.15am on the Overground. The 5.52am first train from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction started from Shepherds Bush at 6am this morning, and the 6.08am second train from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction did not run.
Passengers were advised to use the next service at 6.23am or local bus routes 220 or 228.
