Man stabbed on major North West London high street as man arrested

A man was stabbed in North West London yesterday evening. Police raced to Harlesden High Street at 7.10pm yesterday (July 22) to reports of a stabbing.

However upon arrival the victim and suspects had left. Police later learned that the victim checked in at a hospital in the centre of the city.

Police later arrested a man of suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 7.10pm on Monday, July 22, to reports of a stabbing in Harlesden High Street, NW10. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but all parties involved had fled the scene.

“A man subsequently attended a Central London hospital suffering stab injuries; his condition is not life threatening. Another man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.

“Crime scenes were put in place at the location while the incident was dealt with; these have now been lifted. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
