Hello and welcome to the dedicated football.london live blog for Chelsea. The Blues have confirmed their latest summer transfer with the arrival of Filip Jorgensen made official and more promise to follow.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper joins up with the squad as Enzo Maresca’s eighth new signing and another transfer seems likely to arrive very soon. Earlier this week, news broke that Atletico Madrid were in talks with the club to sign Conor Gallagher and just 24 hours on, an agreement is on the verge of being reached between the two parties.
Gallagher still needs to sign off on the move but it could be a tempting switch given that Champions League football is on offer. Elsewhere, some major updates on Napoli striker Victor Osimhen have come to light, including suggestions Chelsea are in talks to sign him on loan with Romelu Lukaku going the other way permanently.
However, the Nigeria international’s agent has rubbished those claims on social media which may suggest the Blues will need to go down a different avenue to complete an attacking addition. Talks with Osimhen appear to be ongoing though and it is not totally ruled out yet.
