A new three-part documentary covering the murder of two sisters in a London park has been released, including the fate of the killer behind the horrid act.
The series, Bibaa and Nicole: Murder in the Park, is available on Sky Documentaries from today (Sunday, May 11). The documentary can also be streamed on NOW using an Entertainment membership pass.
The show covers the murders of sisters Bibaa Henry, 46, and Nicole Smallman, 27, as well as the misconduct of the Metropolitan Police regarding the case. The pair were killed at a birthday celebration in a Wembley park with a group of friends in June 2020, while following social distancing guidelines as a result of the Covid pandemic.
The sisters stayed dancing in the park after their friends left later on in the night, with the pair being reported missing after not returning home by the next day. Their bodies were found by Nicole’s partner 36 hours later.
Investigators were led to 19-year-old Danyal Hussein after finding a murder weapon at the scene and examining the DNA on it. The knife used was also able to be traced back to its point of purchase.
Police then searched Hussein’s residence around the time he was taken into custody. It was then discovered that the teenager had been researching far-right ideologies.
The search also found that Hussein had been using forums to discuss spells and potions regarding Satanic ideology.
The jury heard during Hussein’s trial that he had vowed to murder six women every six months for the purpose of winning the Mega Millions Super Jackpot of £321 million. One particular record found that he had offered blood to ‘demon Queen Byleth’ while trying to make a girl at his school fall in love with him.
Hussein was convicted of two counts of murder and possession of a knife with intent following a trial at the Old Bailey in June 2021. Four months later, he was given a life sentence with no chance of parole until he was in his 50s.
The killer is currently being held in HMP Belmarsh, a Category A male prison that is often used for high-profile cases involving national security.
The prison includes a High Security Unit that can hold 48 of Britain’s most dangerous convicts. HMP Belmarsh is known as one of only three high-security prisons in England and Wales.
Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park is streaming on Sky Documentaries and NOW.
