A crash in New Cross has meant a busy road has been blocked and four bus routes have been diverted. The accident happened on New Cross Road A2 on the westbound side at the junction with Hatcham Park Road.
It was first reported at 4.55pm on traffic analyst service Inrix and there appears to be significant traffic disruption in the area. Google Maps traffic data shows queues tailing back from New Cross Road and spilling onto nearby Queens Road – another large busy main road.
Several bus services have been diverted due to the accident and subsequent disruption. These are bus numbers 21, 53, 172 and 453 services that serve New Cross Road, Pepys Road, Queens Road, Peckham High Street, Peckham Hill Street, Buller Close, Peckham Park Road, Old Kent Road.
MyLondon has contacted the Met Police for a comment on the accident and roadblock.
