A 30-year-old was slashed in the face at a shop in Willesden Green yesterday morning (July 7). He was attacked in front of Pound Village, on High Road, just before midday, with staff saying they were threatened with a knife.
Paramedics took the man to a major trauma centre, where he is now recovering. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police.
The force is now appealing for information that will lead to an arrest as the knifeman is still at large. A large cordon was set up along High Road yesterday as detectives made enquiries.
Pictures taken at the scene show multiple emergency vehicles parked along the road and numerous officers stood outside Pound Village. A large blood stain could be seen on the pavement outside.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.54am today (July 7) to reports of a stabbing on High Road, Willesden. We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager.
“We treated a man for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
