There’s just a couple of months to go before Arsenal will have to wrap up their transfer business for the summer.
September 1 marks this year’s deadline day and it could go on to be a busy couple of months ahead for the Gunners, despite plenty of business already being done.
Christian Norgaard became Arsenal’s third signing of the summer earlier this week. The midfielder arrived from Brentford to join Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi in completing moves to the Emirates Stadium.
There is still plenty of time before the transfer window closes and for Arsenal to bring in more new signings to the club, should they wish to do so.
Here, football.london looks at what could be considered a ‘dream’ scenario for Arsenal by the time the September 1 deadline rolls around.
Viktor Gyokeres deal wrapped up
After months of speculation, it seems that Viktor Gyokeres is the striker that Arsenal will try and sign this summer.
An agreement is yet to be reached with Sporting Lisbon for the Sweden international, with the structure of the fee still a main topic of the negotiations.
Gyokeres is valued at around £70million by the Portuguese club, and Arsenal will hope to agree a fee in the near future.
Sign Eze and Madueke
Arsenal are also being linked with more new signings in the final third, particularly in the wide areas.
Chelsea star Noni Madueke has emerged as a target for the Gunners, with a deal now being agreed to bring the forward to the Emirates.
Eberechi Eze has also been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer. The Crystal Palace star enjoyed another impressive season at Selhurst Park, so much so that it could result in a move to the Gunners in the weeks ahead.
Sign Mosquera
Another player who has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer is Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera. It’s understood that Mosquera would like to sign for the Gunners, with the centre-back recently rejecting a contract offer with the La Liga club.
Following the departure of Takehiro Tomiyasu last week, Arsenal would be wise to go into the market for a new defender. And it seems that Mosquera is the player identified by the Gunners to fill the void in defence.
As a result, bringing Mosquera to the Emirates before the September 1 deadline would be considered an important piece of business by Arsenal.
