It feels like the muggy rainy weather will never end in London at the moment, but there has been a welcome spot of sunshine this weekend with more to come in August.
We just need to navigate another wet patch over the turn of the month, between July 29 and August 2. Unfortunately it’s due to drizzle or lightly rain on all of those days.
It’s probably not the worst possible start to the month. There are no forecasts for flash floods or volcanic eruptions.
But, if you were hoping ‘The Weather ‘ is a) a follower of the Gregorian calendar, and b) willing to change its tune, you were wrong.
The full lowdown is drizzle and breeze on Tuesday, drizzle and wind on Wednesday, then showers for the rest of the working week and into Saturday.
The first August day without moisture in the air will be Sunday (August 3), according to BBC Weather.
If you want a less gloomy outlook, check the Met Office.
The good news is, from Monday August 4 onwards we are set for blazing sunshine with highs of 26C.
By that point, everyone will be back to complaining it’s too hot as they yearn for the cooling effects of rain.
