Chelsea have submitted an offer for Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, according to the latest reports from Italy.

The London club have had a major summer so far, securing several high-profile additions including Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap. Now, they appear to be targeting both Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato as they look to further strengthen Enzo Maresca ’s squad.

However, with uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Nicholas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, and with Noni Madueke already sold, Chelsea continue to be linked with further attacking reinforcements. According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the club submitted an offer to Juve in the region of €65–€68 million for their 20-year-old attacking talent, Yildiz.

The report adds that Chelsea attempted to tempt the Serie A giants with a significant bid for the Turkey international but were met with a firm ‘no’. Juventus view Yildiz as untouchable, considering him central to their long-term project to return to the pinnacle of domestic and European football.

Interest from clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich has prompted Juventus to prepare a new contract extension for the player. Although the 20-year-old only signed an extension last summer, committing his future until 2029, another standout campaign in black and white may see a fresh deal tabled.

Last season, the Turkey international scored 12 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions. Five of those goal contributions came during the Club World Cup this summer, where Yildiz stood out for Juventus as they progressed to the round of 16 before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus’ firm stance on Yildiz has led Chelsea to explore alternative targets in recent days, including RB Leipzig’s Simons. Widespread reports this week suggest the Blues have stepped up their interest in the Dutchman and are hoping to fend off competition from Bayern Munich for his signature.
