Shark, best known for its vacuums, is blowing Amazon shoppers away with its fan. The Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Cordless Fan was originally £149.99, but is now down to £99. You can also get it for £149.99 at Shark and £99.99 at Robert Dyas.
The fan is a cordless model that can run for up to 24 hours on one charge. The breeze it produces can reportedly be felt from up to 20 metres away.
Shark’s fan is UV and rain resistant. It’s got five fan speeds and can oscillate at 180 degrees, plus can tilt 55 degrees.

For something cheaper, you can get the HOMCOM Spray Misting Fan for £84.99 at Tesco. While not as portable as Shark’s, the fan does oscillate and tilt.
Elsewhere, the BELDRAY 3-in-1 LED Cordless Fan costs £249.99 at Currys. The bladeless fan uses Air Multiplier technology to draw in surrounding air for a strong stream of air.
The Shark fan has 4.7 stars from 201 reviews on Amazon. One person said: “This fan is brilliant. I love how you can take it room to room with you. I’m even taking it on holiday to use by the pool!

“It is a bit on the heavy side but I presume that is due to the fantastic battery it has. Being able to use the pedestal or not is a great idea. I have an old car with no air con so take it with me on the passenger seat when it’s really hot.
“It’s quiet and powerful and has lots of different speed and rotation options. It’s really good, a bit expensive but worth every penny.”
Another wrote “This fan is absolutely brilliant. I’ve bought it to replace two Dyson fans (tower and desktop) which are noisy and barely blow any air around. The Shark fan is so good; it’s silent on speeds 1-3, and very quiet on 4 and 5.
“It moves a serious amount of air around which feels very smooth and powerful. The breeze modes are so cool (where it gradually increases and decreases speed to give a realistic breeze effect). The fact that it’s charging when it’s in the pedestal is so cool, mine charges all night and then I move it around the house during the day.

Absolutely recommend – don’t mean to drag Dyson fans too much but this is infinitely better. Only complaint would be that the charging light flashes green, so at night when mine’s charging I can see the light flashing – not enough of an issue to drop from five stars though.”
Only one per cent of reviewers left one star, with one saying “Way too short! No height adjustment! Not powerful at all! The remote has a very bad range. An app would have been a lot better! Overall this fan is not worth the money at all!”
