Four players have already left Arsenal permanently and more departures are expected in the coming months.

Nuno Tavares sealed a £4.2million switch to Lazio after spending the 2024/25 season on loan with the Italian side, while Marquinhos has joined Cruzeiro in a deal worth around £2.25million. Kieran Tierney and Jorginho have departed as free agents, with moves to Celtic and Flamengo, respectively, already announced.

While incomings are being worked on in the background by sporting director Andrea Berta, additional exits are likely to be in the pipeline at Emirates Stadium. Oleksandr Zinchenko is said to be in talks over a move to AC Milan, with the Italian giants in contact with the defender and his representatives.

The left-back, valued at €20million (£17million) by Transfermarkt, made 23 appearances for the Gunners last term, although many of those were from the bench. With just a year left on his contract, it makes sense for Berta to try and cash in.

Another defender who has been linked with a move away is Jakub Kiwior. The Polish international filled in admirably for Gabriel in the closing months of the season but before the Brazilian’s injury was hardly handed a chance.

Linked with a return to Serie A, the 25-year-old is valued at €28million (£23.8million) by Transfermarkt. Berta really does face a tough decision when it comes to Kiwior, as a replacement may need to be signed should the Gunners let the centre-back leave.

One player who no longer looks like he has a future at Emirates Stadium is Fabio Vieira. The 25-year-old has struggled since making the £34million move to the capital in 2022 and spent the 2024/25 season back on loan at Porto.

The Portuguese performed well as he contributed to 10 goals in 39 appearances. Porto are reportedly interested in signing the Arsenal man permanently and it may cost them around €22million (18.7million), according to Transfermarkt. A decision will likely be taken in July, however, as Vieira is currently at the Club World Cup with Porto, which was something reportedly agreed last summer.

Berta has two other players on Arsenal’s books who spent the 2024/25 season on loan but no longer have a future with the Gunners. Albert Sambi Lokonga will not be returning to Sevilla on a permanent deal after the La Liga side opted against signing the midfielder. He’s valued at €8million (£6.8million) on Transfermarkt and will leave Arsenal, should a buyer be found.

The other player is Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan at Fulham but a serious hamstring injury picked up in December ended his campaign early. The 25-year-old is valued at €16million (£13.6million) on Transfermarkt and could bring in a decent fee given his age and the fact he’s English.

So, should Berta sell the five aforementioned players, Arsenal could receive just under £80million. That money would be much welcomed, especially when Arsenal appear close to signing Martin Zubimendi for around £51million and Kepa Arrizabalaga for £5million.

Any money generated may also help Arsenal sign a prolific striker, with both Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres linked. football.london understands Sesko is slightly more preferred by Gunners chiefs due to his younger age but could cost upwards of £90million.
