Ange Postecoglou is holding his pre-north London derby press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of Tottenham’s big match against Arsenal on Sunday.
Tottenham have had 15 days in which to prepare themselves for the arrival of the Gunners to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend. Such has been the oddity of the fixture calendar and Spurs’ lack of cup football, Arsenal have played three times since Spurs’ abject display at St James’ Park with Postecoglou’s side having the weekend off thanks to Manchester City’s participation in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Australian will deliver an update on Pedro Porro’s injury recovery and whether the Spaniard is available to face Mikel Arteta’s side after coming off against Newcastle. He will also speak about Destiny Udogie’s season-ending surgery to his left quadriceps, having sustained an injury in training last week.
Richarlison’s progress from his knee problem will also be discussed, while the team’s pre-season trip to Japan, where Postecoglou managed, could also be brought up.
So will Arsenal’s own Premier League title challenge this season and Postecoglou’s expectations that Spurs are doing the same in 12 months’ time.
Our Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold is among those putting the questions to Postecoglou. Scroll down for his latest updates from the press conference at Hotspur Way.
