With just two Premier League games of the 2024/25 campaign remaining, eyes are starting to turn to next season for Arsenal.
The Gunners will look to secure a second-place finish in the Premier League in their remaining matches. But with the title now gone, planning for another assault at the top position will already be underway.
A pointer to next season will take place this weekend when Arsenal take on Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium (Sunday, 4.30pm kick-off). As reported by football.london, the game is expected to see the team wear the club’s new home shirt for the 2025/26 season.
It’s something that has become somewhat of a tradition for the club, although the decision was made last season to stay with the the current shirt for the final home game with the club still in with a chance of winning the title.
A win over Newcastle would all but confirm a second-place finish in the Premier League this season. Arsenal then finish their campaign with a trip to take on already-relegated Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.
As eyes turn to the new season, here’s a look at everything that has been said about all three kits for the 2025/26 season so far.
‘Gothic A’ home kit
As reported by football.london, the new home kit is expected to be released this week, with the shirt returning to featuring just red and white. The last two years have seen a third colour, with 2023/24 including a gold strip and this season’s featuring blue.
Website Footy Headlines have released more details and images of the reported new shirt. It is claimed that it features a ‘gothic A’ pattern throughout the red main body of the shirt.
The shirt is mainly red with white sleeves, shoulders and collar. Both the Arsenal badge and adidas logo are also white.
The shorts are white with the red adidas stripes, and a red trim. The adidas logo and Arsenal badge are also red.
90s revival
Footy Headlines has also released reported details of the club’s away kit for the 2025/26 season, with it heavily resembling the away shirt from 1995/96.
It is reported that 30 years on from the original shirt, the revival will see two different shades of blue used in a zigzag/lightening bolt-like design. Both the adidas and Arsenal badge will be in metallic silver.
The shirt is also said to include red ‘detailing’. It is added that the shirt will be available from June/July.
Third kit details
A third kit is now common place in football, and Footy Headlines have also given details on what Arsenal’s could look like next season. The website claims that the third kit will have a white base with maroon and gold details and will feature a polo collar and gold and maroon stripes.
The shirt is said to hark back to the 2007-09 third kit worn by the club. The shirt is said to include a fabric that includes a tonal pattern, and will be released in August/September.
