Arsenal are pressing ahead with their transfer business as Mikel Arteta looks to rebuild his squad for the new Premier League season.

The Gunners are yet to confirm their first new signing of the summer but are closing in on agreeing deals that would see players added to their squad.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is a player of interest to Arsenal and is widely reported to be close to completing a move to the Emirates Stadium in the near future.

The Gunners are also looking to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford as Arteta looks to strengthen his midfield options.

Two other players of interest to Arsenal are Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze and Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

In the case of Kepa, the Gunners have already agreed to pay the £5million release clause in the goalkeeper’s contract with the Blues, football.london understands.

An update from Ben Jacobs on X, formerly known as Twitter, has claimed that Kepa has now passed his medical as he moves a step closer to becoming an Arsenal player.

The report comes amid the news that Arsenal are also interested in signing Eze from Palace. football.london also understands that the gunners are assessing the forward options that may be available on the market, with Eze identified as a potential target.

Eze enjoyed an impressive season at Palace last term and played a key role in helping the club win the FA Cup, including a match-winning goal against Manchester City in the final back in May.

The Gunners have until September 1, which marks deadline day for this summer, and will also have an eye on August 17, the date for the club’s first Premier League match of the season against Manchester United.
