The summer transfer deadline may have only just passed, but that does not stop eyes already turning to the January window and possible business that may be done there.
It was a busy summer window for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal with eight new faces arriving at the Emirates Stadium. Centre-back Piero Hincapie was the latest addition with the 23-year-old arriving on deadline day.
Hincapie will wear the number five shirt when he makes his debut for the club, with all of the other new arrivals also having their squad numbers confirmed.
Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will wear the number 13, midfielder Christian Norgaard has been given the number 16 while defender Cristhian Mosquera is wearing the number three. Winger Noni Madueke is number 20, striker Viktor Gyokeres the number 14, Eberechi Eze the number 10 while Martin Zubimendi is wearing the number 36.
The transfer fees for all eight players saw Arsenal spend a total of £267 million in transfer fees. Having addressed areas of importance over the summer it will be hoped that not too much work is needed in the January window.
There could however be opportunities to add a player or two to the squad who could just make a difference in the second half of the season. If that is the case, then Arsenal have plenty of shirt numbers available to be able to hand to any new arrivals.
