The summer transfer window is in it’s final month and the new Premier League season is edging closer with clubs looking to shape their squad ahead of the first ball being kicked in just under two weeks’ time.
It’s been a pretty successful window for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta so far as they look to build a squad to challenge at the top of the table. The Gunners have finished in second place in each of the last three seasons and are hoping to go one better this time around.
There has so far been six new arrivals with the signings of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres.
The capture of Gyokeres in particular has been met with excitement with Arsenal addressing the big need for an out and out number nine. The Sweden international scored an impressing 54 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions for Sporting CP last season.
But there is still work to be done with a few weeks of the window remaining. Here we take a look at the realistic deals which could make it a perfect window for the Gunners.
Incomings
The priority for now is adding strength to wider areas. Eberechi Eze is the player most heavily linked at this moment in time.
The England man has impressed with Crystal Palace, and he has a release clause of £67.5 million in his contract, although there are mixed reports as to whether that has now expired or not. Arsenal are hopeful of getting a reduced price, but Palace are believed to be demanding in the region of £35 million up front.
If Arsenal can secure the deal, then as long as there are no more exits before the end of the window, that will be their attack pretty much sorted for the 2025/26 season.
One other possible incoming could be at centre-back. Arsenal have been linked with an interest in Rennes’ defender Jeremy Jacquet. The 19-year-old is highly rated, but any move for the teenager could depend on potential outgoings in the remaining weeks of the window.
His age and potential will play a big part in the decision. If Arsenal can bring him in and help him continue to develop, then he could be with a lot more than whatever they pay in just a couple of season’s time.

Outgoings
This is where Andrea Berta has a decision to make. There is reported interest from both Germany and Italy in Arsenal’s 25-year-old defender Jakub Kiwior.
It’s reported that the Gunners value the defender at around £30 million. If they have a ready-made replacement lined up in Jacquet and an offer of that price comes in, then the club may take the decision to cash in.
Another member of last season’s first team squad who has been linked with a move away is full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko. Fulham have been credited with an interest in the Ukraine international, who may struggle for regular game time at the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming season.
The 28-year-old has just a year remaining on his current deal with the club, so Arsenal may make the decision to cash in now if they have an offer that they deem as suitable.
The other potential outgoings are players who are on the fringe of the squad, having spent last season out on loan. Sales would helo Arsenal both in bringing some money into the club as well as getting some more players off the wage bill.
Like Zinchenko, Fulham are also showing an interest in Reiss Nelson. The forward spent last season on loan at Craven cottage but saw his season impacted by injury. The Cottagers have held talks with Arsenal over a possible transfer.
Midfielder Fabio Vieira spent last season on a temporary deal with Porto. He’s been linked with various clubs over the last few weeks, with Italian side Parma and Premier League side West Ham both linked.
Albert Sambi Lokonga spent last season on loan with La Liga side Sevilla. The midfielder has spoken of his desire for stability after the summer window , meaning a permanent move away from the Emirates Stadium is the ideal outcome.
The arrival of Arrizabalaga earlier this summer means that there is likely to be no place in the Arsenal squad for Karl Hein. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with Spanish side Real Valladolid with reports suggesting there is interest from Spain again this summer.
