Thierry Henry on Julian Alvarez
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Gunners legend Thierry Henry has admitted Julian Alvarez is his favourite striker in football right now.
Whether he could see him in an Arsenal shirt in future? That’s a trickier question to answer.
“One of my favourite nines out there at the minute is Julian Alvarez. And you know, we’ve been talking about it. Putting pressure, playing it long, low, whatever you want to do,” he said.
“You see the free kick he scored the other day. He can hold the ball alone. He played at the Olympic Games, he played the Copa America.
“I don’t hear him saying I’m tired or not tired. He plays it, hopefully, nothing bad’s gonna happen to him.
“He played everything. And the way he plays it, I just like him. But is it possible [for Arsenal]? I don’t know.”
