Arsenal face Liverpool in their final match of the pre-season tour of America with a chance to complete an unbeaten run through their fixtures across the pond. A draw with Bournemouth has been followed up with a win over Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta will get his first chance to face up against the Reds’ new head coach Arne Slot. Arteta ended his long rivalry with Jurgen Klopp in a positive way with a draw at Anfield and a win at the Emirates Stadium in the two league meetings last season and he will want to start this new era in the best way possible.

Arsenal fans will of course be excited by the prospect of seeing new summer signing Riccardo Calafiori in action for the first time. The Italian arrived officially a couple of days ago and has already completed several training sessions with the team.

Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai are the two senior figures most will recognise as Slot has been without plenty of those who went far in the Euros and Copa America. Arsenal will have the likes of Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli in much better condition than the cameos against Man United to the side’s benefit.
