Boots’ Black Friday sale has slashed the price of several David Beckham fragrances to £20, down from £40, with shoppers praising the ‘strong masculine scent’

Black Friday is just around the corner, promising a plethora of discounted health and beauty products. Among the standout deals are fragrances, offering shoppers the opportunity to update their scent for less or get ahead with Christmas shopping by picking up early stocking fillers.

Currently, Boots is offering several David Beckham fragrances for £20, a significant reduction from their usual price tag of £40. The discounts include three versions: Bold Instinct, the original Instinct, and the Instinct 20th Anniversary Edition.

Bold Instinct is the most intense of the trio, beginning with fresh laurel leaves that transition into a warm, spicy nutmeg aroma. Described by the brand as woody and aromatic, this long-lasting eau de parfum is presented in a sleek all-black bottle with a weighty cap and copper label.

The original David Beckham Instinct, according to the brand, exudes a vibrant sense of dynamism. It blends zesty bergamot freshness, spicy cardamom, and earthy patchouli, creating a fresh fragrance suitable for daily wear.

The 20th Anniversary Edition Instinct adds a subtle twist, enhancing the original’s botanical bergamot and patchouli notes with musky and woody cashmeran and crisp apple accord. It’s housed in a stunning semi-translucent dark green bottle, making it an ideal gift, reports Nottinghamshire Live.

Boots has currently slashed three of David Beckham’s Instinct aftershaves to £20.

All three bottles are 75ml and currently priced at £20. If the David Beckham scents aren’t your cup of tea, Boots is offering discounts on other everyday fragrances, including Vera Wang and Adidas this Black Friday.

Meanwhile, Superdrug is offering a cracking deal on Versace’s The Dreamer eau de toilette, now £24.95, down from £74. According to the brand, it’s a clear scent that’s both warm and fresh, with notes including juniper, lily, and tobacco blossom.

Another option is the Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme available at Debenhams, where 75ml bottles are currently £25.48 with a whopping 51% off. It’s described as a fresh fragrance with bursts of tangerine and yuzu, while notes of sandalwood and vetiver provide a masculine base.

Returning to the David Beckham fragrances, they’ve garnered positive reviews from Boots customers. One satisfied customer who purchased the David Beckham Bold Instinct commented: “Bought this simply because it was on sale. Online too so I didn’t even smell it first, just went by the description. I needn’t have worried, it smells amazing on my husband. This is definitely my go-to choice now, sale or not!”.

A second customer chimed in: “Bold has a strong and deep masculine scent that lasts all day.”

However, one was less impressed with the standard Instinct, leaving a four-star review that read: “It is a really pleasant scent, lasts all day and projects quite far. The bottle is a little underwhelming and probably the only area where it lets itself down. It’s a nice day-to-day fragrance, but possibly not one I would wear for a night out.”

Another gave their two cents on the Bold Instinct fragrance, stating: “David Beckham Bold Instinct is a solid woody aromatic with fresh laurel, warm nutmeg, and smoky woods. While versatile and long-lasting, it may lack the complexity of high-end fragrances. A great pick for everyday wear but not a standout.”

However, many were chuffed with their purchases. A third opted for the standard Instinct fragrance and enthused: “Smells better than many designer aftershaves. Fresh and clean with lovely citrus notes.”

The David Beckham Bold Instinct and standard David Beckham Instinct fragrances are available from Boots for £20 each.
