Bryan Mbeumo has hinted at team news on social media ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Chelsea.
The winger, who joined Old Trafford from Brentford this summer, will look to add to his tally of just one goal so far. Mbeumo scored in United’s 3-2 win over Burnley last month and has started all four of the club’s opening league matches.
It hasn’t been an easy start to the campaign for Ruben Amorim and Co, but on his day, Mbeumo can make a difference. On Saturday, the Cameroonian shared a pre-match graphic preview of the Chelsea fixture on his Instagram story.
Historically, this suggests he will be involved in some capacity.
Patrick Dorgu, Casemiro and Leny Yoro have also done the same, suggesting they are likely to feature against Enzo Maresca’s side.
Ruben Amorim confirmed that Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez will remain out with injuries, while Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha are set to return to the squad.
“Dalot is out, Mase and Cunha are in the squad. Licha is still out, that is it,” the Portuguese head coach said.
Elsewhere, Alejandro Garnacho will return to Manchester for the first time after his £40million move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Maresca has indicated that Garnacho could be handed his first start. “In the last two games, he was inside very good,” said the Chelsea boss.
“He can be very good in the second half. I explained to him the other day against Bayern Munich. We are adapting our style, what we want from the winger. Now, if he’s ready to start tomorrow, I think he’s ready to start.”
