Tottenham Hotspur could have a busy summer ahead of them as they prepare for the return of Premier League football next season.
Spurs will also be looking forward to playing in the Champions League next season after their triumph in the Europa League last term.
Not to mention, a new era will begin at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following the arrival of Thomas Frank as the club’s new manager.
The summer transfer window is now open for the next couple of months, giving Tottenham plenty of time to strengthen their squad.
Here, football.london takes a look at what Tottenham’s dream 25-man squad for the Premier League next season could look like.
Goalkeepers: Guglielmo Vicario, Antonin Kinsky, Brandon Austin
It’s hard to see much change in the goalkeeping department at Tottenham this summer. Fraser Forster is already confirmed as a guaranteed departure, and Spurs already have three senior shot-stoppers in their ranks who can do a job next season.
Guglielmo Vicario is the first-choice goalkeeper, while January signing Antonin Kinsky showed his value following his midway through last season. Brandon Austin got his chance with the first team last term and will be hoping to get more minutes under new management next season.
Defenders: Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Radu Dragusin, Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro, Djed Spence
Not many, if any, defenders have been linked with joining Tottenham at the moment. Once Frank settles in, expect more rumours to fly around about potential incoming business.
For the time being, Tottenham will hope to get Radu Dragusin back to full fitness later this year while also calling on regular starters Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. Kevin Danso impressed following his arrival in January, while Ben Davies could return after the club activated the one-year option in his contract.
Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro and Djed Spence remain the only full-back options at Spurs, and it remains to be seen if Frank will want to strengthen the department in the transfer market this summer.
Midfielders: Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall
As will be the case with the defence, Frank will want to assess the midfield options at his disposal before any major decisions are made. No new signings have been linked with joining Tottenham when it comes to the midfield, but there is plenty of time for that to change.
Yves Bissouma’s future at Spurs has been the subject of speculation over the last few months, but if the Mali international were to depart, then a replacement would need to be found. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to leave on a permanent deal to join Marseille after spending last season on loan with the Ligue 1 club.
Forwards: Son Heung-Min, Bryan Mbeumo, Richarlison, Dominic Solanke, Mathys Tel, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert
Tottenham will want to strengthen the forward area of the squad, with Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo heavily linked with a move to North London. Spurs will hope that the connection between Mbeumo and new manager Frank will stand them in good stead after the pair worked together with the Bees.
Mathys Tel has now officially been signed on a permanent basis, and football.london reported this week that Frank is looking forward to working with the former Bayern Munich star next term. Elsewhere, Timo Werner will leave the club after the conclusion of his loan spell from RB Leipzig.
It is going to be a busy summer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. There is sure to be plenty of change at Spurs, with a number of key transfer priorities and the potential even for a new manager after a poor 2024/25 season.
