The cult-favourite beauty retailer has launched its first-ever tanning drops today – and it’s safe to say fans are excited to get their hands on the new product

We can always count on Charlotte Tilbury to give our skin that luminous, dewy finish, whether that be with her glorious Magic Cream, Airbrush Flawless Foundation, or Flawless Filter. But today (March 19), the makeup icon has launched a new product that’ll leave us with a gorgeous, bronzed glow as if we’ve just returned from Ibiza.

Charlotte Tilbury’s latest release is the Beautiful Skin Island Glow Easy Tanning Drops, which cost £38. The formula will not only give you a holiday-like glow but will also nourish your skin in the process with the addition of plumping hyaluronic acid, a skin barrier booster and radiance boosting optics – not to mention tan-enhancing molecules.

The first of its kind from the ‘Queen of Glow’, these tanning drops promise a “seamless” and “buildable” tan thanks to the ingredient erthrulose, which is a ‘natural-keto sugar’ that the MUA says is “magic”.

With your tan developing in as little as six hours, the drops come in two different strengths – light to medium for cooler undertones and tan-deep for warmer undertones.

The drops can be added into your existing skincare and can be worn under, mixed in with or on top of your moisturiser. Coming in a lovely bronze coloured bottle, the number of drops – applied with a pipette – will determine the depth of your tan. Two to four drops sees a natural sun-kissed glow while nine to twelve drops will give you a deep-bronzed finish.

Announcing her new launch. which has arrived just in time for the spring and claims to be streak-free, Charlotte Tilbury shared a picture of her new Beautiful Skin Island Glow Easy Tanning Drops and captioned: “Darlings, my NEW! Beautiful Skin Island Glow Easy Tanning Drops are here! Discover my FIRST-EVER SELF-TANNING INNOVATION! Infused with RADIANCE-BOOSTING, SKIN-PLUMPING, HYDRATING skincare ingredients for a GOLDEN GODDESS ISLAND GLOW!”

Shortly after this news was shared, beauty buffs rushed to her comments section to voice their excitement at the new glow-inducing product launching.

“Oh my Love at first sight,” said one, while another added: “OMG NEED.”

A third marvelled: “Ooo excited to try these!” while another shopper ismply said: “Outstanding” – and we couldn’t agree more as if Charlotte’s other products are anything to go by, these will be a bit of a game-changer when it comes to helping keep our spring and summer tan topped up all year round.

Of course, these tanning drops aren’t a new invention in the beauty world as beloved fake-tan brands such as Bondi Sands, Coco & Eve and St Moritz all have well reverred products which will give you a stunning, natural glow – and are a good, cheaper alternative if you can’t afford to fork out almost £40 on Charlotte Tilbury’s tanning tonic.

St Moriz Advanced Tan Boosting Face Drops are £7.99 from Boots while Coco & Eve’s ultra-hydrating tanner is £22. Ahead of Amazon Spring Deals Day too Bondi Sands has had its PURE Self-Tanning Drops, featuring a cocktail of vitamin C, E and hyaluronic acid. These have been slashed in price by 63 per cent, making them now only £5.55. If you’re happy to spend a little more on tanning drops, Drunk Elephant’s went viral when they first launched for giving users a golden wash of colour whilst “boosting skin’s elasticity and supporting healthy barrier function”. The ‘sunshine drops’ are £34 here.

If Charlotte Tilbury is your go-to, however, and you can’t wait to get your hands on the brand’s first-ever tanning dops, grab yourself a bottle here and get glowing!
