Chelsea get their 2025/26 Premier League season under way with a home clash against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues get their campaign up and running on Sunday, August 17, with the Eagles coming to west London for a 2pm kick-off. A London derby to kick off the season for Chelsea – in fact, they do not leave the capital for the first four matches.

A trip to West Ham United follows for the Blues, before back-to-back west London derbies against Fulham at home and then Brentford away. Chelsea’s first game outside of London comes on matchday five with a trip to Manchester United.

Brighton are the visitors to Stamford Bridge a week after that to conclude Chelsea’s opening six games of the season. Other notable fixtures include a home clash with Aston Villa on December 27, followed by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge three days later.

The FIFA Club World Cup will see 32 of the world’s best club teams including Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich play across 63 games from June 14-July 13.

Chelsea wrap up their campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Sunderland towards the end of May. The Blues’ penultimate game of the season is one supporters always look out for: Tottenham at home.

Overall, it is a fairly nice start for Chelsea – on paper, anyway – to the season. Not leaving London for the opening four matches means less travel for the Blues. The first six fixtures are also ones they will be expected to record positive results from.

Chelsea are currently in the United States taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup and will be hoping to reach the latter stages of the revamped competition. Should the Blues go all the way in the US, they will play the final on July 13.

Enzo Maresca’s side will then fly back to the United Kingdom to undergo some sort of pre-season, although not all of the fixtures have been confirmed just yet. What has been confirmed is a mini tournament taking place at Stamford Bridge on August 8 and 10 – one week before the beginning of the Premier League campaign.
