Everton have agreed a deal to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on a permanent basis from Chelsea, football.london understands.

This deal has moved very quickly, with Everton opening talks with Chelsea earlier on Monday, and David Moyes is understood to be a long-term admirer of Dewsbury-Hall. The Toffees are set to pay the Blues around £28million in total once add-ons are achieved.

Signed just over 12 months ago from Leicester City in a £30million deal, the 26-year-old midfielder made 36 appearances in total for Chelsea in all competitions – scoring five goals and assisting four. Dewsbury-Hall, though, was restricted to just 13 appearances in the Premier League over the course of the 2024/25 season, with only two of them coming from the start.

The midfielder will leave the Blues after just one campaign at Stamford Bridge, but one where he helped the club triumph in the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup. Dewsbury-Hall is not the only player looking set to leave Chelsea in the very near future, with Lesley Ugochukwu, too, on his way out of SW6.

The 21-year-old midfielder is close to securing a move to Premier League newcomers Burnley, who are also set to sign Armando Broja from the Blues, on a permanent basis, football.london understands. Elsewhere, club-to-club talks between Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have reopened regarding the permanent signing of Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chelsea are open to selling the 21-year-old former Aston Villa midfielder, but are not so keen on another loan move. Chukwuemeka is understood to be prioritising a move to Dortmund, where he spend the second half of last season on loan, with RB Leipzig also enquiring about his situation in negotiations for Xavi Simons.

The Blues will be boosted by these imminent sales as talks continue with Leipzig over a move for Simons. The Netherlands international has a broad agreement on personal terms with Chelsea, insiders close to negotiations told football.london, but the two clubs are yet to find common ground on a fee for the 22-year-old.
