While the summer transfer window may have only just closed, planning for the January window will start soon for Chelsea and their rivals.
The summer window was a busy one for the Blues in terms of both incomings and outgoings. The window saw 11 new faces arrive at Stamford Bridge with a reported total spend of £296.5 million.
The latest new arrival was attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, who signed on straight loan deal from Brighton and Hove Albion. His shirt number at Chelsea is yet to be confirmed, while Alejandro Garnacho has taken the number 49.
Other new arrivals have had their squad numbers released. Dario Essugo is number 14, Estevao wears the number 41 and Liam Delap has been given the number nine shirt.
Defender Jorrel Hato is wearing the number 21, Jamie Gittens has the number 11 and Joao Pedro the number 20.
Having been active this summer, it will be hoped that not too much business is needed in the January window. But teams are always open to opportunities to make a signing or two who could just make a difference in the second half of the campaign.
If that is the case at Stamford Bridge, then there are plenty of options in terms of squad numbers to hand out to any new winter recruits. Here’s a look at the numbers currently available…
