Chelsea stars send heartfelt Jota messages

A number of Chelsea stars have paid tribute to Diogo Jota after the Liverpool star and his brother Andre Silva were tragically killed in a car accident in Spain during the early hours of Thursday morning.

With the Blues over in the United States, and thus in a different time zone, messages came a little later but they did flood in with Reece James, Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella all providing their reaction.

The latter said: “Rest in peace Diogo. Sending a big hug to his family and friends at this difficult time. [heart broken emoji.]”

The Chelsea captain simply put “heartbreaking”, while Fernandez, translated from Spanish to English, said: “All my condolences to their families. May they rest in peace.”
