Cockfosters Road crash sees woman rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A woman suffered serious injuries after a crash in North London on Thursday morning (May 1). Police and paramedics rushed to Cockfosters Road at the junction with Beech Hill shortly before 8am to reports of the incident.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed the crash victim was rushed to a major trauma centre as a priority. The busy Enfield road was blocked between Beech Hill and Lancaster Avenue.

A LAS spokesperson said: ““We were called at 7.57am to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Cockfosters Road and Beech Hill, Enfield.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, a clinical team manager and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated a woman at the scene and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
