So, who is he?
Maresca had a lengthy playing career largely in Italian, Spain, and England.
He spent time at West Brom (yes, West Brom), Juventus, Bologna, Fiorentina, Sevilla, Malaga, Palermo, Sampdora, and Verona amongst others.
He then jumped into coaching, becoming the assistant manager at Ascoli before moving to Sevilla in several non-playing roles.
In 2018 he joined West Ham as assistant manager to Manuel Pellegrini before moving to Manchester City as their academy coach, leading the Under-21s to a Premier League 2 crown.
He had a brief stint as Parma boss that ended terribly before returning to City to be Pep Guardiola’s right-hand man.
Then he took on the Leicester role and the last 12 months have been history.
