England are preparing for their final game of the 2024/2025 season this evening when they take on Senegal in an international friendly at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.

The Three Lions head into the match with a 100 per cent record under their new head coach Thomas Tuchel. After joining the England set-up on New Year’s Day, the German has overseen three victories in World Cup qualifying as his team top their group.

However, the 1-0 victory over Andorra left a lot to be desired, as England struggled to break down their resolute hosts. Harry Kane scored the only goal in the second half to secure the three points, but Tuchel will be hoping for more from his men when they face their toughest test under him tonight.

Senegal are unbeaten in their World Cup qualifying group and shall be heading to the Africa Cup of Nations as one of the favourites later this year. While ultimately pride is the only thing at stake for England this evening, Tuchel will be hoping to see improvement ahead of the summer break.
